Subsidy for private childcare

The amount of the subsidy depends on both the number of hours per week that you use the private childcare arrangement and your child's age.

From the month your child turns six months old until the month your child turns three years old, the subsidy is calculated based on your documented childcare expenses. The subsidy can cover up to 78,7% of the expenses, with a maximum of DKK 8,468 per month.

From the month your child is three years and one month old until your child starts school or early after-school care (SFO), the subsidy can likewise cover up to 78,7% of your documented childcare expenses, with a maximum of DKK 4,568 per month.

You must therefore cover at least 21,3% of the actual childcare costs yourself.
