Subsidy for private childcare
You can apply for a subsidy, if your child is between 0-6 years old and enrolled in an international school or preschools and schools
The size of the subsidy depends on how many hours per week your child is enrolled in the private childcare facility and the age of your child.
The subsidy is calculated based on the documented childcare expenses from the month your child reaches 6 months until the month your child reaches the age of 3 years. The subsidy cannot exceed more than 75 % of the expenses and has a maximum amount of 7.046 kr. per month.
From the month your child reaches 3 years of age until your child starts school / early SFO (before- and after-school care), the subsidy cannot exceed more than 75 % of the documented childcare expenses and has a maximum amount of 4.073 kr. This means that you have to cover at least 25 % of the actual childcare expenses.

If you have received your CPR and your MitID, you can apply for childcare placement online at the digital placement service (Danish).
